Josh Grey-Jung and Kri

Josh Grey-Jung

London based producer of creeping electronica meshes unsettling sample-based textures, field recordings and jagged synths lines.

Josh’s work has been exhibited and performed at venues including the Barbican, the Zabludowicz Collection, the Union Chapel and Kings Place. In 2012 Josh was awarded ‘Best Live Re-score’ by Open City Docs judge Harry Escott (A Might Heart, Shame) for his re-scoring of Yuri Ancarani’s ‘Il Capo’. As a sound designer and composer Josh’s work has also featured in the London Short film Festival and gained coverage from platforms such as ID Magazine and Boiler Room 4:3.

Under the moniker of Chango, Josh has become known for his unique production and writing style, gaining plays on Radio 1, BBC6 Music, NTS and features in Dummy Mag along the way. Having independently produced and co-written three EP’s (Purple, EP1, EP2) for alternative Hip-Hop outfit Strangelove as well as an album (Through a Glass Darkly) with Nubya Imani B of the Hempolics / Nubyan Twist, Josh’s forthcoming production projects include an EP with producer Alvarezz and a new audio-visual release with (oc)cult rapper Mowgli.h

Kri is an experimental vocalist, performer, and producer based in southeast London. Kri’s work focuses on the voice, exploring the connection between the voice and body through extended technique, performance-based work and as a conceptual basis for composition. Kri has composed and performed pieces for multiple vocalists, string quartet, voice and violin and self-produced her own electronic music. Gregorian chant has become a recurring theme in Kri’s work, with a particular interest in the juxtaposition between underlying sensuality within a religious context and how this extends to the treatment of the feminine voice and body connection/separation in vocal music. "Pulvere" (to dust) takes influence from Hildegard von Bingen’s chant; O Dulcissime amateur (O lover sweet).

Electronic IDM experimental (ambient, drone, techno, acid),abstract,
I prefer fieled recordings and use them as like a small piece of picture in the sound track.
For me music is not only component of the material of sound energy.
I feel the music energy and visual energy in the same time.
So i always try to make new things and experiment., from the different viewpoint in genre.
